Christian Group Asks Opening of Palestine to 100,000 Annually

The American Christian Emergency Council for Palestine today sent a memorandum to President Roosevelt asking him to intercede with the British Government and the Intergovernmental Committee on Refugees for admission of 100,000 Jewish refugees annually into Palestine. The memorandum was signed by 15 members of the council, including Bishop Francis J. McConnell, the Rev. Charles S. MacFarland, Dr. Guy Emery Shipler, the Rev. Stanley High and Dr. Henry A. Atkinson.
