Citrus Exports Hit by War

Palestine’s citrus industry has been hard hit by the war, with an export crop of 15,000,000 cases available but growers doubting that more than half will be marketable, the Commerce Department reported today. Freight costs for export have risen sharply and there is increased competition from Spanish fruit in the British market.
