That the Council of the League of Nations has approved the Austrian government measures looking to the expulsion of East European Jews from Austrian soil, was the statement made by the Vice Chancellor in Parliament yesterday.

The Vice Chancellor was replying, at the end of a heated debate on the Jewish question. to charges by Socialist deputies that the government was acting contrary to international sanctions in the eviction of the eastern Jews. Expulsion was in a large number of cases delayed, the Vice Chancellor explained, because transport difficulties rendered the task impossible.
