Col. Edward M. House, close friend of President Wilson, made a flying visit to Palestine yesterday.
Col. House, a passenger on the Mauretania, disembarked at Haifa, Palestine’s port, where he was welcomed by Engineer Pevsner on behalf of the Zionist Executive in Palestine and representatives of the Jewish community in Haifa.
Col. House visited the Hebrew Technical Institute of Haifa and the Hadar Ha’carmel, the new Jewish residential suburb of Haifa. He then proceeded to Nazareth.
Col. House went on board the Mauretania the same evening.
