Brig, John Bagot Glubb, commander of the Transjordan Arab Legion, has warned the British Government that, should the war flare up again in Palestine, Transjordan would be in danger of outright defeat. In this event, the former British officer is reported to have told British officials, Abdullah’s kingdom would invoke the treaty with Britain and consider itself entitled to demand military assistance by British troops.
