Approximately 50,000 children and adults will participate in the celebration of the festival of Purim, starting March 25, to be held under the auspices of the 28 organizations affiliated with the Metropolitan League of Jewish Community Associations, Mr. Sol M. Stroock, president of the Metropolitan League, announced.
The organizations will present plays portraying the historical events associated with Purim.
The seventeenth anniversary of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, will be celebrated on March 26, by 45,000 members of the organization.
The organization Hadassah derives its name from Queen Esther, and its anniversary is observed in connection with the Purim festival.
