Condoleezza Rice said she is concerned about “wanton destruction” of the Gaza Strip as Israel withdraws this summer. In an interview Monday with the Associated Press, the U.S. secretary of state said she wants housing to fit the needs and circumstances of Gaza residents once Israel vacates the settlements, and that Israeli and Palestinian leaders should coordinate the transition.
