The Jewish society Sperantza laid the cornerstone today for a new consumptives’ hospital open to all sufferers, regardless of race or religion, supported by funds from American Jews.

Senator Jacob Niemirower, the chief rabbi of Bucharest, and William Filderman, president of the Union of Rumanian Jews, paid tribute to the American donors who made the hospital possible through the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
