The inauguration of an annual “Council Day” in Israel by the National Council of Jewish Women of the United States was announced today by Mrs. Irving M. Engel, its president. Council Day was celebrated yesterday with a broadcast address to the people of Israel by Mrs. Engel and a reception in Jerusalem at which members of the government, educators, social workers and prominent laymen were guests.
