Benedict Herzl, 35, a cousin of Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, has been granted permission to leave Palestine voluntarily after facing deportation charges. Herzl, who came here as a tourist, had been working as a building construction worker, overstepping his time allowance and thus violating the immigration laws.
Faced with deportation, Herzl was given permission to leave the country. He will stay at Trieste in the hope that he will be awarded a worker’s certificate.
