A Vaad Hakashruth for the entire northern half of California to supervise the enforcement of the new state kosher bill has been created by the rabbinical tribunal of San Francisco and Oakland acting in conjunction with representatives of Orthodox congregations in the two cities. P. H. Ballen was elected president and A. M. Hillman secretary.

The Vaad Hakashruth is to see to it that the kosher meat bill functions as its framers intended and meets the traditional requirements.
