An agreement providing for an exchange of technical know-how on afforestation problems was signed here yesterday by Sharon Weitz, director of the afforestation department of the Jewish National Fund, and his counterpart of the Cypriot Government. The exchange will go into effect at the end of summer when the planting season begins. Mr. Weitz recently spent some time on Cyprus studying its afforestation needs and it was agreed that each country would provide the other with seeds and saplings as well as forestry technicians. The climate in Cyprus is similar to that of Israel.
