There is a danger in the present Arab-Israel situation, Dr. Ralph Bunche, United Nations Under Secretary and former Palestine Mediator who negotiated the Arab-Israel armistice agreements, declared here today.

Dr. Bunche, who is visiting various Latin American countries on a UN mission, noted that the agreements negotiated by him have been in effect six years–“a bit long for being provisional.” However, he stressed that although a final solution of the Palestine problem has not been arrived at, the situation is such that a final solution can be “obtained.”

Dr. Bunche also received a delegation from the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, which expressed appreciation for both Dr. Bunche’s mediation efforts at Rhodes in 1948 and for his continuing fight against racism. The delegation explained to Dr. Bunche its work.
