Dedicate New Synagogue in Shanghai

Sir Sidney Barton, the British Consul here, presided at the dedication ceremonies of the new synagogue, Beth Haharon, Sir Sidney, in the course of his speech, praised the Jews highly.

A large number of prominent Chinese officials and officers in the British Defence Force were present at the ceremony. The Prime Minister of China sent a message of greetings to A. S. Hardoon, who took a leading part in the establishment of the synagogue.
