The constructive work of caring for homeless children has been severely retarded by the economic depression, the National Home for Jewish Children declared in a report issued to the press today.
“For several years we have been faced with the problem of aftercare of our children,” Fannie E. Locker, president, stated. “It has been almost impossible to find positions for them on graduation from high school. Due to the serious decrease in our income we have been forced to discharge more children than ever, and the placing of these children has become a problem such as we never faced before.”
