Detroit Jewish Community Council Backs Ordinance on Housing Rights

The Detroit Jewish Community Council today announced support of a proposed City Council ordinance to safeguard minority rights in housing. The Council ordinance states a policy of “open occupancy” for the city. The Jewish community’s position on the issue was announced by Stanley J. Winkelman, president, following action by the Council’s executive committee.
