Dismissed for Refusal to Play Anti-semitic Hymn

The director of the public concert orchestra in the German resort Borkum on the North Sea was dismissed from his position by a decision of the Borkum municipal council.

The dismissal was motivated by the director’s refusal to play the anti-Semitic hymn, “Borkum.”
