The order of the Polish Government sending into exile 25,000 Russian and Ukrainian Jews has had the effect of uniting for the first time all Jewish agencies engaged in any aspect of Jewish immigration. The ICA, the Jewish National Council, the JDC, the “HEAS”, the Central Committee of Ukrainian Jews, and the White Russian Jews are all working together towards relieving the burden of the refugees.
The problem facing the various Jewish agencies is to find some country which will receive the homeless Jews and to provide them with funds to stave off starvation in the interim.
