Dr. Berthold Stokvis, world-famous Jewish psychiatrist and nerve specialist, died here today at the age of 57. He was a leading authority on hypnosis. Born in Amsterdam, Dr. Stokvis was on the faculty of Leyden State University and was president of the Society of Psychic Mass Hygiene and honorary secretary general of the International Society of Orthopedagogics. He was the author of numerous works on psychology and hypnosis.
