Dr. William Filderman, president of the Union of Jewish Communities in Rumania, was arrested on Aug. 21 and detained until Sept. 9, it can now be revealed. The charge against him was that he collaborated with the German-deminated Antonescu regime.

Dr. Filderman is still under attack in left-wing circles. A speaker at a Communist meeting here yesterday reiterated the charge of his collaboration with the former pro-Nazi regime. (A Geneva dispatch to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on Oct. 7, said that Filderman was being held under house arrest.)
