Funeral services will be held Friday at Temple Emanuel here for Dr. Gregory C. Pincus, one of the world’s leading experts on birth control and one of the three developers of the birth control pill, who died at the age of 64.
Dr. Pincus was research director of the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology, an authority on mammalian reproduction, and a pioneer in cancer research. With Dr. M.C. Chang, a senior scientist of the Worcester Foundation, and Dr. John Rock, head of the Rock Reproductive Clinic of Brookline, Mass., he developed the pill that revolutionized birth control methods, after experimenting with hundreds of substances.
