By a huge majority parliament adopted the Van Schaik bill providing for punishment of those who incite against any section of the population.
The bill was introduced by Minister Van Schaik, a Catholic, who said the document was motivated by the need to combat anti-Semitic writings recently imported into Holland from abroad.
