Dutch railway management and workers contributed 100,000 guilders– $10,000 — to a special campaign on behalf of funds for Israel, conducted throughout the country’s railway system In one hour.
Dutch employers and trade unions have been conducting a special drive for raising emergency funds for Israel, and 1,000,000 guilders ($100,000) has already been raised in the campaign. Today, 20,000 civil service workers throughout the country enrolled in the drive. The funds are to be turned over to the Government of Israel.
