Aubrey S. Eban, chief delegate of Israel to the United Nations, was this week-end appointed Ambassador to the United States. He succeeds Eliahu Elath who will become Israel’s Minister to Britain. Mr. Eban is 35. He will continue as Israel’s permanent delegate to the U.N.
