Israel Ambassador Abba Eban said today after a meeting with Secretary of State Christian Herter that the exchange “touched generally on economic aid.” The Ambassador was to hold more detailed discussions on the aid issue later in the day with C. Douglas Dillon. Deputy Undersecretary of State for Economic Affairs, and Dempster Mcintosh, managing director of the Development Loan Fund.
Mr. Eban described the meeting as a general review of American-Israel relations and matters in the Middle East, He added that the talk could be characterized as a friendly discussion of matters of mutual interest.
