The Egyptian Government has denied legal recognition to the Jewish Anti-Zionist League, it was reported here.

Its application was rejected on the grounds that it was a tool of the nationalist opposition. It is understood that the government has evidence that the opposition parties are attempting to use the League to spread dissension in the Jewish community in an attempt to discredit the government abroad.
