Ehud Barak is on an official visit to Turkey.
Israel’s defense minister flew to Ankara on Tuesday for strategic talks with the Turkish political and military leadership.
Barak was expected to promote the sale of an Israeli spy satellite to Turkey and discuss regional issues such as Iran, Syria and the Palestinians.
Secular Muslim Turkey is the Jewish state’s most important regional ally.
Barak will return to Israel on Wednesday.
