Eilat faced an unusual tourist boom during the weekend with an influx of 12,000 French Jews. The Ministry of Absorption set up display booths in Eilat hotels to promote aliyah. The local builders’ association said it would offer housing sales for anyone who wishes to stay in France but buy a second home in Israel.
