A fund of £2,500 to provide an annual scholarship at the Hebrew University in memory of Jose Bensaude of Lisbon was established by his grandsons. The provisions of the scholarship state that the beneficiary is preferably to be a Sephardic Jew.

The establishers of the fund hope to increase the amount to £10,000 by additional contributions from other members of the Bensaude family. The fund was established through the efforts of Dr. Ben Zion, Keren Hayesod delegate.
