A 65-year-old former member of the SS, Paul Anton Reiter, went on trial here yesterday on charges of killing 10 Jews and a Soviet war prisoner shortly before World War II ended. He was charged with ordering the killings in April, 1965, in his capacity as commander of an SS unit in Leiben, Austria.
