Extremist candidates failed to make gains in an internal Likud Party vote. Nitza Kahane, a daughter-in-law of the late ultranationalist Rabbi Meir Kahane, and former “Jewish Underground” member Shaul Nir ran for places on the Israeli ruling party’s secretariat Monday, but were voted out by its Central Committee.
