Israeli Foreign Ministry officials discussed today the fate of seven Israelis still held in Syrian prisons with Gen. Odd Bull, Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervisory Organization.

Israel previously had asked the UN organization here to ask Syrian officials about the still un repatriated prisoners. Five Israeli Jews and two Israeli Arabs are known to be held by the Syrians, some of them for more than 10 years. Israel has protested repeatedly against the continued detention of its nationals. When an exchange of prisoners was negotiated last year, Syrian authorities said all Israelis had been released.
