Fifty-eight members of the U.S. Congress sent a letter to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Richard Holbrooke expressing their concern over anti-Zionist remarks made at a recent United Nations committee meeting. Lebanese and Syrian representatives equated Zionism with racism at the meeting, when the committee reviewed a change in representative status at the United Nations for Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
