Several persons were burned to death in a fire which swept the town, Tshechersk, Minsk region. The number and identity of those who died as yet have not been determined.
One hundred and seven Jewish families are without homes, as the fire destroyed more than 100 houses. Those without homes found refuge in synagogues and houses which were not affected.
