France will not compromise Israel’s security, France’s foreign minister told Jewish officials. During a meeting last Friday with leaders of the CRIF umbrella organization of French Jews, Michel Barnier also described Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to pull out of the Gaza Strip as “useful and positive on condition that the modalities are known.”
