Frederick Brown, real estate operator and philanthropist, was presented with the American Arbitration Association medal for the promotion of industrial peace, at a luncheon yesterday, held at the Hotel Astor, in “recognition of his distinguished service in promoting good-will in business relations.” Two others have been similarly honored in the past years. They were Charles M. Schwab and Harry Guggenheim.
Felix M. Warburg, a personal friend of Mr. Brown’s, made the presentation. In pinning the medal on Mr. Brown, he said he was glad Mayor Walker was in Albany on official business so that the privilege of honoring his friend fell to him, and expressed the wish that he might be present when Mr. Brown was again honored. More than eight hundred persons attended the luncheon, and six other speakers, besides Mr. Warburg, acclaimed the leadership and character of Mr. Brown.
