French writer Claude Lanzmann was awarded the French Jewish Foundation’s 100,000 Franc prize for 1985 for his film “Holocaust which portrays part of the World War II Jewish drama. The Foundation, presided over by David de Rothschild, aims at developing all forms of Jewish culture and of preserving the past.
