The House approved by a 422-0 vote today the bill establishing a Free Trade Area between Israel and the U.S. The bill, which would eliminate tariffs and other trade barriers in phases over a 10-year period, also approved unanimously today by the Senate Finance Committee. The agreement was signed in a ceremony April 22 by Israel Minister of Commerce and Industry Ariel Sharon and former U.S. Trade Representative William Brock. President Reagan submitted it immediately to Congress which has 60 days to approve it.
