Disregarding the decision of the Central Zionist Council in Warsaw, the Zionist Council of East Galacia has decided to unite with the Agudath Israel, Orthodox organization, for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. By a vote of 37 to 14 the Galician Zionists approved an election union with the Agudath, thus creating a united Jewish front in East Galacia.

In Poland proper the General Zionists, the Zionist non-Socialist labor party (Hitachduth) and the Mizrachi, Orthodox Zionist party, formed a united Zionist election but rejected an election union with the Agudath. The united Zionist bloc’s negotiations with the government party have reached a stalemate.
