Gedaliah Zakiff, 54, general secretary of the Jewish Agency for Israel, died here this morning after a brief illness.
Prior to his appointment as general secretary, Mr. Zakiff had been the Jewish Agency’s representative in Canada and in Latin America. A native of Russia, Mr. Zakiff was brought here in early childhood. He took a degree in law in Paris.
