Lieut. Gen. Mark Clark announced today that the Jewish Brigade in now part of the Fifteenth Army Group and said that he “was delighted to have the Jewish Brigade operating with our ferces on the Italian front.”
Wishing the Brigaders luck, Gen. Clark said. “I am greatly satisfied that the Jewish people who have suffered so terribly at the hands of the Nazis should now be directly represented by this front-line fighting force. They will be given every opportunity to prove their warth alongside troops of other nations and of bringin honor to Jewry.”
