German actress Katja Riemann won the Venice Film Festival’s award for best actress for her role as the Aryan wife of a Jew in Nazi Germany. The film, “Rosenstrasse,” tells the story of a group of non- Jewish women who demanded that the Nazi regime release their Jewish husbands.
