The fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the German B’nai Brith was celebrated here on Sunday.
The organization now has a membership of 13,000. An anniversary meeting was addressed by Dr. Leo Baeck and Professor Elbogen, who described the history of the German Lodges.
The German B’nai Brith is an independent organization, but continues its association with the American parent organization which co-operates in the interest of Jewry’s welfare and as a factor in adjusting internal difficulties among various Jewish groups, it was stated at the meeting.
