The City of Hagen today issued a memorial book honoring the names of 600 Jews of Hagen who lived here prior to the launching of the Nazi program for the annihilation of the Jews. Only 20 Jews returned to Hagen since the war, and a new synagogue for the tiny Jewish community was consecrated there last fall.

Memorial books honoring the Jewish martyrs have been published recently at Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. Similar commemorative volumes are now in preparation at Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Mannheim.
