German Dignitaries Pay Tribute to Jewish Artist

High dignitaries of the German republic paid tribute to Max Liebermann, the famous German Jewish artist, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, when a Liebermann exhibition was opened at the Art Academy here.

Representatives of the arts, science, leaders and personages in political and social life, were present when Chancellor Marx and Minister of Education Becker, led the octogenarian to the seat of honor in the Art Academy.

In the addresses delivered on the occasion, Prof Liebermann was hailed as “the great master”.
