German Jews Move to Assist Russian Jewish Refugees

A Committee which includes in its membership Professor Albert Einstein, was formed for the purpose of aiding the association of Russian Jewish refugees in their effort to ameliorate the situation of thousands of refugee families in the country. The decision to establish the committee was taken at a conference of German Jewish leaders held here under the chairmanship of Mr. Teitel.

Besides Professor Einstein, the members of the committee are: Justizrat Brodnitz, Rabbi Leo Baeck, Mr. Freiman, Jacob Goldschmidt, Rabbi Hildesheimer, Mr. Kahn, German Consul-General of Jaffa, Dr. Alfred Klee, Oscar Wassermann, Heinrich Stern, president of the Association of Liberal Jews in Germany, Julius Schindler of Hamburg, Mr. Goldman of Leipzing and Mr. Blau, president of the Frankfurt Kehillah.
