Germany’s foreign minister will be honored at Latin America’s largest synagogue for his efforts to fight anti-Semitism. Joschka Fischer will be given an Award of Merit at Shabbat services Friday at the 2,000-family Congregacao Israelita Paulista in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
