Girl, 19, First to Hop from Soviet Glider

Luba Berlin, a Jewish girl of 19, today made the first successful parachute jump from a glider. She jumped from a height of 600 meters.

Miss Berlin is one of a number of young Jewish girls in Soviet Russia who are being trained as fliers. She is an active member of the Osoviachim, the Soviet organization promoting aviation among the civil population.
