Slum dwellers awaited today fulfillment of a promise made yesterday by Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels during a tour of the slums that he would solve their housing problem by ejecting small Jewish families occupying large flats and permitting them to move in their place. Dr. Goebbels owns a country house at Heligend Dam, an exclusive bathing resort on the Baltic, another in South Germany, a palatial home at Schwanen-Werder, near Berlin, besides an 18-room apartment at the Propaganda Ministry.
