Gordon Craig, famous English theatrical director and scenic designer, who is now on a visit to Moscow, expressed great enthusiasm for the production of Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” now being given in Yiddish in the Moscow Jewish State Theatre.

“This is the first time in my life that I have seen a Shakespearean production so well performed,” he said.
